Barnwell School District 45

Board members are elected to three-year terms. On a staggered basis, in nonpartisan elections held on the second Tuesday in the month of April.

Regular meetings of the Board are scheduled for the fourth Thursday of each month, except in November and December.  Meeting's begin at 7:00 p.m. and are held in the Barnwell 45 District Office on Hagood Avenue unless a different meeting place is announced.   All meetings are open to the public.

 
Board of Trustees
The Barnwell School District 45 Board of Trustees consists of five members elected by the public for terms of three years.  The members of the Board are:
  • Donald Kitt, Chairman - Mr. Kitt has served on the board for 16 years; his present term of office ends in April, 2005.  Mr. Kitt is employed by the Department of Corrections.
  • Jeff Still - Mr. Still was elected to serve on the board in April 2003; his term of office ends in April 2006.  Mr. Still retired as an educator of Barnwell School District 45.
  • Marty Harvey - Mr. Harvey was elected to serve on the board in April, 2001;  his term of office ends in April, 2004.  Mr. Harvey is an attorney in the Harvey & Kulmala Law Firm.
  • Reed Swann - Mr. Swann was elected to serve on the board in 1992 and his present term of office ends in April, 2004.  Mr. Swann retired as an educator and as employee at Westinghouse, Savannah River Company.
